Physical and Chemical Changes of Matter

  • Matter: Anything that occupies space and has mass is called matter.
  • State of matter: Matter exists in three States i.e. Solid, liquid, and gas.
  • Solid: Sold has a defined shape and volume. Examples wood, glass, irons
  • Liquid: Liquid has a definite volume but it does not have defined shape.
  • Liquid flows easily. Examples water, milk, and oil etc.
  • Gas: Gas has neither definite shape nor a definite volume
